Pollination is a generative method of breeding. Pollination can occur if the stamens meet the stigma so fertilization occurs.
Types of pollination that occur in plants:
Self Pollination. (otogami)
Self-pollination occurs if pollen from a flower falls on the stigma of the flower itself. This pollination occurs in plants that have flowery leaves like peanut plants.
Neighbor pollination. (geitonogami)
Neighbor pollination can occur if pollen to another stigma, but still one plant. Examples are citrus and rambutan plants.
